Buddy Carlyle is officially on the 15 Day DL. Despite a slightly high ERA, Carlyle has been one of the Mets most consistent pitchers this year. He rarely throws a ball, and he has been big in key moments, like getting that ground ball for the Double Play Saturday in Philadelphia. You have to wonder if there is going to be a roster spot for him when he returns from injury, as it is expected that the Mets will have either ( or both ) Bobby Parnell and/or Vic Black on the roster when Carlyle is ready, plus Gee will return, and he might be forced into the pen. Further reducing their pen space. My bet is that Carlyle might get the short end of the stick and be outrighted to Vegas.
