The crowd was electric on Tuesday
There are games that you know you will never forget, Tuesday was one of them. When Matt Harvey took the hill at 7:10pm, every fan in the ballpark got up and cheered. I noted earlier in the week that the Opening Day crowd was a tiny bit of a let-down, Tuesday was not a let-down at all. It truly was one of the most bizarre games I’ve ever witnessed, from poor calls from umpires, ejections, Harvey RETALIATING against the Phillies hitting the Mets, and, of course, Harvey.
I can’t remember a game I’ve enjoyed more since 2007. Even Johan Santana’s no-hitter was slightly less exciting than this. I must say, if the Mets continue winning like that then there is no reason the park can’t be packed like this all year long.
