Zack Wheeler undergoes MRI. Should we be worried?

Add another pitcher to the injured players club, it’s Zack Wheeler! Wheeler was scratched from Saturday’s start due to a sore elbow. This is precautionary, as manager Terry Collins said, but there is something I don’t like when a (struggling) pitcher undergoes three MRI’s in one offseason/pre-season. I fear that there is something “wrong” per se in Wheeler’s throwing arm  that is leading to this constant dis-comfort. If this is the case, we can call on Dillon Gee, who many forget was the Opening Day starter, just last year, and know, he is not even in the starting five.

The Mets know have four questionable or ruled out pitchers for the Opening Day roster: Zack Wheeler, Bobby Parnell, Josh Edgin (Tommy John) and Vic Black (seems ok, but still some tendinitis). I guess the saying is true, you can never have too much pitching.
