This past weekend, I took a Greyhound down to Baltimore, Maryland for a family vacation. We did the normal Baltimore touring, and then went to the Twins-Orioles game! I will be ranking each important aspect of the stadium and compare it to Citi Field, and ultimately, we will find out which stadium triumphs. (I’ve seen this done on other blogs, and I enjoy it, so I’m going to give it a try!)
This one is a slam dunk **cough cough** homerun. When a stadium is packed it leads to electricity which leads to excitement. One good pitch for an O’s pitcher and BOOM the stadium is rocking, Citi Field does have The 7 Line, but it regularly struggles to get 20,000 fans.
Fan Verdict: ORIOLE PARK @ CAMDEN
There really isn’t anything special at Camden Yards, there is Jack Daniel’s Grille and some cool Sausage places but the food was mediocre at best. I had the Chicken & Fries combo, and the Fries were soggy and the Chicken was bland, (No I’m not a Food Blogger). The one thing I really enjoyed was the names of the concessions, like O What a Dog!
The hospitality didn’t match Philadelphia’s and the amazing food options at Citi Field like Acela Club, Box Frites, Blue Smoke, Shake Shack, Two Boots, El Verano, Pig Guy NYC and Pat LaFrieda Meats, so Citi Field wins.
FOOD VERDICT: CITI FIELD (METS)
This one was really, really tough, the Mets have fun games like Bike Races, Simon Says, Mets at the Movies, Time Crunch Challenge and Press Your Luck, and In-game hosts Brandon Wellington and Alexa Datt always make a game at Citi Field more fun. The Orioles didn’t do anything like that, and their promotions only consisted of Bobbleheads and T-Shirts while the Mets always do something different on a 2x weekly basis. Yesterday however, was Adam Jones bobble head day which I got!
