Mets make a move
The Mete designated aging veteran Bobby Abreu for assignment on Monday and recalled Captain Kirk from AAA Las Vegas 51s. The Mets demoted Kirk in July, when Wilmer Flores got recalled.
Niko’s opinion: I’ve been reading a lot from the other Mets blogs out there and they all suggest the Mets should also bring up den Dekker from Vegas in exchange for Chris Young, good idea, and I fully believe this is the answer, especially with Young’s struggles and den Dekker’s numbers as of late, but something tells me Sandy wont pull the plug on CY until September.
